βš– Backlink Value Calculator

A backlink isn't a backlink. A link from a fast, trusted, on-topic page is worth orders of magnitude more than a link from a slow link-farm. This tool fetches the source and target pages and computes four different scores β€” so you can see the link through Google's eyes, an AI agent's eyes, and a 1998 PageRank purist's eyes.

Why four formulas?

  • Classic PageRank still loosely tracks Google's link-equity intuition. Plus it's just elegant math.
  • Modern Link Equity captures the part Google's actual algorithm started caring about after 2012: link quality, page experience, semantic context.
  • Topic Relevance isolates one variable Google has confirmed matters (Hummingbird, BERT, MUM).
  • AI-Citation Likelihood is forward-looking β€” AI overviews and chatbots increasingly drive traffic, and their link-evaluation heuristics differ from Google's.

If a link scores 80+ on all four, it's gold. If it scores 80+ on only one, you know which channel it'll help with. If it scores low across the board β€” don't burn outreach effort on getting it.
